New Species Discovered
#1
OUTPOST #1 – BULLETIN #211
PRIORITY: URGENT
PURPOSE: ANNOUNCEMENT
SUBJECT: NEW SPECIES DISCOVERED

Attention all scientists!

Many of you are likely still mourning that the capsules of our autumnal seasonal rotation have been cycled out for the year, but we are pleased to announce that a new capsule has been added to the cupboard! This species required precise and extensive research before being made available to the outpost as a whole, and it is thanks to Agnes Schnani's tireless work that we now can expand the studies of this fascinating creature.

Any new data should be submitted to either her lab or Soza Starr's, as Soza is helping her organize all relevant research.

These will flood for 48 hours before joining the normal rotation.

Hmm, I can't tell if it looks more like an acorn or an apple. Maybe another squirrel themed creature? Or an insect?

Its name translates to "flirting flame", but I don't know what this tells us. Any ideas?

Fruits of an Oak are eaten from Squirrels, Mice, Deers, wild Pigs and Birds, like the Eichelhäher - Garrulus glandarius - which would be a very nice bird, but again a bird?
and thanks to google an other idea: Flamo is a character of Master Raindrop and a pure solar energy creature from Futurama ... maybe the new creature consists of pure, glittering energy-?
