I was thinking the spiked capsule gave the impression of a sea urchin but the heads are definitely giving seahorse vibes. Maybe a Sea Worm cross?

yoooooo I love them!! finally a fish-like critter where having a body like a wiggly piece of string makes sense lmao
the eye stripe camo is super cool, I can't wait to see the markings/colours on these guys they look amazing. pipefish are such wonderful creatures it's lovely to see them get some attention :D

EDIT: ALSO I just realised the dragon whiskers must be a reference to the japanese name for seahorses (dragon's child), that's a nice touch lol

We have two species of pipefish in Finland and those happen to be my favourite fish (((Straightnose pipefish Nerophis ophidion and broadnosed pipefish Syngnathus typhle)))! They're in the same family as seahorses, the family Syngnathidae. They remind me of Sauma Kudrilo so much. Thank you for such a lovely fishy creature! They're definitely in my top 2 favourite species with Reganta Plumaros ( ﾉ･o･ )ﾉ ♥♥♥
