I really like that the males and females have different sprites. :3 Tasmanian Griffins are very cool. These are definitely one of my favorite species now.

Finally thinking about it again. They are suspiciously tanuki shaped! Are they based on Tanuki's?

Since I just had to look up what a tanuki is...no xD
They are based on wolf-meets-songbird with some inspiration from microbats; basically the floof rounds out their bodyshape a bit and makes them a tad more aerodynamic

yes, i always post in the respective announcement thread the second a species notes are available, which will be on the 28th at the same time of day this annoucement was made.
