Within the Outpost, a Lab with a desk covered in notes can be found. These notes can be added to by any other scientist within the Outpost, but the addition of new notes for new creatures is gradual.
Initially messy, these notes are eventually sorted whenever there are no visitors.
Although this Lab seems to lack a scientist, information about the occupant and their creatures can be found within a more tidy place. However, it appears to be incomplete.
Once it is lifted, the way to sort this mess of information lies beneath it, but it appears incomplete as well.
These two spreadsheets are meant to show my own Lab's creatures (and act as an example), and provide others with the means to do one on their own if they can't figure out where to start! These are free to use, and the second 'found' spreadsheet can be copied from as a basis for any activities needed! These templates do not contain functions, but only formatting.
[Kosmira Girafo and Muskbirdo are Available!]
A weekly posting of new specimens that have been added will be posted below!
This week's specimens that were obtained through the cupboard, shelter, gifting, or the market! There are 13 specimens to be shown.

OUTPOST #1 – BULLETIN #79
PRIORITY: URGENT
PURPOSE: ANNOUNCEMENT
SUBJECT: NEW SPECIES DISCOVERED
Attention all scientists!
While on a sailing trip along the coast of the nearby Ovid Sea, Iris Evada discovered a prevalent ocean-dwelling species she has dubbed Limaka Cevalo. Although enamored with the small creatures, which don’t grow more than a foot in length, she has returned to the outpost for a time to submit a report on her findings as well as some geographical survey data. The report, along with its colorful appendix of photographs, is available upon request.
Iris Evada will be heading out on another exploration soon, but while she is here, do stop by her lab for a chat as well as tips regarding Limaka Cevalo care and handling. They are a rather diverse species, and Iris believes we have much to learn from studying their behavior.
You can continue to read the report here

Welcome!
What is the point of this thread?
TFO lore is huge on creature research and conservation, and I wanted to create a fun, community driven opportunity to bring awareness to the creatures of our own world. With the recent breeding & abandon changes, it is a lot easier to do large scale breeding and fill the often desolate shelter! With community focus on specific days, we can breed our creatures to fill the shelter and hopefully help others with their collections and lineage projects, on top of bringing special attention to the struggles of our own real life critters - sometimes even for humans.
How does it work?
It is rather simple. Keep at least one slot! Breed your creatures a day in advance or the day of, and as your pairs produce offspring, toss them to the shelter! We will observe based on server time.
How do I propose a massbreed?
As this original post is based on the idea of conservation, I will be automatically including the international/world days that correspond to creatures that we see in the world of TFO. To suggest another holiday or massbreed date, please use this form:
I'd like to propose a massbreed!

Reason or Holiday:
In addition to holidays, massbreeding and spreading your creature's bloodlines around can be quite fun - so as to keep "official" or "awareness" massbreeds and random or personal fun massbreeds separate, I'd still like to include them in this post for others to join in as they wish or to look forward to their favorites breeds flooding the shelter. Just be aware that I may not always update the main post with short notice or random events, so if you are interested in this type of massbreed, pay attention to the most recent posts! ^.^ Please use this form in these cases:
I'll be massbreeding!

Welcome to the Community Spotlight Creatures!
Last event's spotlights: (NA8mp) and Purpuspiko!
Introduction: As you know, I've been running the species database for a while now and have recorded many beautiful creatures in The Final Outpost. However, I feel that the creatures at the main page that represents their respective species lacks variety. Therefore, this event is made and will select new species every one to two weeks, the goal is to choose the community's favorite creatures and let them take the spotlight for this thread as well as my database for a while! (The event will return in the future, of course, and another creature shall take their spotlights.)
You can view the history of highest voted creatures here: CSC Spotlight History
In this thread, when a submission event is going on, for every user, you are allowed to post up to one male and one female of the creature species for the event*. Of course, you can choose to post only your favorite male, or only your favorite female, or not post at all! Moreover, you don't have to post a creature you own, you can also post another scientist's creature that's your favorite as well! After a certain period of time, I put all entries, or as many as up to 25 male creatures and 25 female creatures and open voting forms for them! The creature with the highest votes will get their "spotlight" here, as well as have their images used for my main sheet :D
During the voting phase, you may select up to one-fourth of entries rounded up! (For example, if there's 9 entries, then you may vote up to 9/4=2.25 rounded up to 3 votes.) You can find the forms at the bottom of this post!
The current event's creature selected is: TBD!
Male entries:
TBD
Female entries:
TBD
When voting phase is open, case your votes here!

Female Voting Form
*Make sure you post the BBCode of the creature, which is clickable to access its link. Image only will not count.
Freeform chats/posts is allowed here.

OUTPOST #1 – BULLETIN #73
PRIORITY: NON-URGENT
PURPOSE: ANNOUNCEMENT
SUBJECT: THE ABANDONED COMMUNICATIONS TOWER
Good evening, everyone!
We hope that this announcement finds you well rested after your recent sojourn in the Shady Caverns. The recent discovery of the Arbara Kronos still has everyone abuzz with excitement, but for those of you who need a break from the chaos currently at hand around the cupboard in the ground floor’s common room, C. Roote has submitted a proposal for the exploration of the abandoned communications tower beyond the lake.
After some consideration, we have reached the agreement that such an expedition could very well provide needed information. To that end, we are approving in advance any reasonable applications for gear and supplies to be used for such excursions. Please note the emphasis on “reasonable”—we will not approve requests for so-called powered exosuits or personal levitation devices, as such apparatuses are not in the factory’s database and would require far too many resources to maintain even if they did exist. Also, due to a recent malfunction, any requests for sunglasses will be placed on a waiting list until the necessary equipment is repaired. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
Click here to read some handy tips for safe exploration of ruins!
Additionally, we want to welcome rosastrasza to the team! She will be helping out with writing as we further develop the world of TFO.

Visit NEMO's Ark
2. Click creatures
3. ???
4. Profit
THIS SITE IS CURRENTLY IN BETA. PLEASE EXPECT AND REPORT BUGS. THEY'RE OUT THERE SOMEWHERE. Apparently this is way too stable for beta. I remain suspicious.
Those of you who've browsed Dragon Cave fansites before will recognise literally everything about this site as being a cheap copy of Daily Dragon Fix. That's because it's a literal copy, s/DDF/NA, s/leviathan/azothoth, s/dragon/creature, and so on. That means it's still basically the code from over ten years ago. *weeps*
Features:
(Please read everything in the tone of self-deprecating sarcasm.)
- A totally mysterious progress bar.
- Actually kind of easy to bypass with the right stubborn mindset Foolproof test of integrity and honesty - click 20 creatures to have your codes kept in rotation!
- CTRL+click support! (Let's face it, that's why I made this.)
- Load in all your creatures with one button click! ZOOM. SO FANCY.
- Integrates seamlessly with the Dragon Cave fansite Daily Dragon Fix! (So many seams. So many. But you can log in with the same credentials.)
This thread is for support with the site! And feature requests. And for me to post in whenever I do anything fancy with it. And also so I can link to something from the site.
Just to stress: I did literally all the coding for this on the command line on my server, so please expect this to be a hot mess right now. Corteo's been amazing help to me in PM with the API, which for some reason worked immediately and out of the box (anyone who's done software engineering knows that something working immediately and out of the box is WITCHCRAFT), so let me just say     Corteo, please direct shipments of cookies to Corteo, no really, please, I insist, I eat low-carb. but apparently this hasn't caused any huge issues. Good, good.
Note that valid bug reports are also: "Hey, pinkgothic, this piece of text makes no sense for The Final Outpost." My many text replacements (and sometimes the removal of features that make no sense for TFO and some paragraphs associated with said features) almost surely missed something.
